“The lion’s share fell to the Coro Titular del Teatro Real in a particularly demanding trance. Being an operatic ensemble, with excellent solo singers, its members are not accustomed to so much staccato and the specific difficulties posed by Cererols’ style. Distributed scenically according to the demands of the works, they showed extraordinary professionalism and knew how to harness the expressiveness and intensity of the two works. (…) the conductor Javier Ulises Illán succeeded in containing the emotions and at the same time channelling and enhancing such beautiful scores”.
